MENLO PARK, CA – Sept. 11, 2018 - Ron Lefferts has joined consulting firm Protiviti as a managing director and global leader of its Technology Consulting practice. Based in Protiviti's New York office, he oversees the firm's technology offerings and capabilities that serve to protect and enhance clients' business value. Lefferts, who brings a wealth of knowledge in technology, helps CIOs and IT leaders drive performance by designing and implementing advanced solutions in IT governance, infrastructure, cloud, security, data management, applications and compliance.
Lefferts comes to Protiviti from IBM Global Business Services, where he held several leadership roles during his 11-year tenure at IBM, including managing partner for the financial services sector in North America and managing partner for the financial services sector in the company's Greater China Group, and was a member of IBM's Industry Academy. In these roles, Lefferts built a strong record for strategy, operations and management by leading strategic client relationships and running major client transformation initiatives for some of the world's largest financial services institutions.
Prior to this, Lefferts served as director of Technology Strategy and Architecture for Merrill Lynch Global Wealth Management. Previously in his career, Lefferts was a strategy, operations and technology consultant for a Big Four accounting firm.
"Technology is driving the future across all industries and sectors, so we're constantly updating the capabilities we're bringing to our clients with new, innovative technologies and the most meaningful ways to deploy them in their business," said Cory Gunderson, executive vice president of global solutions, Protiviti. "We want our services to help our clients feel empowered and confident about their company's future, which is one reason why we're thrilled to have an innovative and best-in-class expert like Ron join our team to further this mission. His experience helping some of the world's largest companies in their transformation initiatives through technology adoption and vendor relationships is remarkably well-suited to our clients across all industries and to our team."
Lefferts earned his MBA at Drexel University and his bachelor's degree at the University of Delaware. He also serves on the board of directors of the Borough of Manhattan Community College Foundation.
To further enable the firm's ability to deliver world-class, flexible resource solutions to its clients, Kurt Underwood, a managing director in Protiviti's Technology Consulting practice, takes on a newly created leadership role as Protiviti's global leader of Managed Technology Solutions – a joint offering with Robert Half, the parent company of Protiviti.
